Here you will find the latest information on software updates from MC².  New features of each update will be listed for your review.

ICE® Release 3.3

Release 3.3 of ICE contains many new features and enhancements which are listed below.

General

New Autodesk QTO Interface

New ICE Import Tool

1. Supports both OST and CAD imports in one application
2. Stores Source Tracking information in the estimate
3. On a re-import from a source, the old data from that source is removed on newer versions of Ice
4. Takeoff from an estimate can be viewed by user entered, modified date, takeoff Id. Can also be viewed by source if imported from the import tool
5. BlockNames / Conditions can be hidden if not in the source data
6. Detailed list of import failures and reasons why
7. Input data can be viewed while created the translation definition
8. Many new References available for mapping OST data, some data converted to feet for direct entry into more construction systems
9. Supports Metric and Imperial

Takeoff

• When adding new sort code in takeoff, allow user to provide description along with code
• Add Item – view sort codes when browsing catalog
• Added auto-increment for Add Item
• Added F12-Dup to Add Item

Reports

• Added option to allow default sort sequences to a report – both ICE and Crystal Reports
• Allow project variables to be put into headings
• Users can now set left margin on page
• Allow wild cards in partial report selection
• If printing partial report, print out partial criteria
• Added currency fields and virtual columns to all reports

Estimate

• Recalculation now includes Assemblies
• Added option to allow assignment of Quantifier for multiple items

Estimate Bid

• Add Print Current View with History to reports
• Option for a custom tab on Estimate Bid

Visual Takeoff

VTO Grid (when running in Ice) & VTO Editor

• Read Only Prompts
• Formula’s are allowed as values for Dimension Prompts
• Visual Only option so user will not be able to go to Normal (Classic) mode then change Read Only data
• All prints now use the same multipage print preview as ICE uses
• Zoom for static pictures
• Add details to VTO Help
• Automatic VTO Definition version numbers so you’ll know if someone changed the VTO Definition

VTO Editor

• Copy/Paste Cell & Copy/Paste Prompt now uses the clipboard so data can be copied and then pasted into another VTO Definition.
• Stop window from flashing when being resized on Vista

• Process Typical Specs in Assemblies

Miscellaneous

• Added option of Imperial Takeoff to Metric Answers
• Enhanced Spreadsheet Import with new import fields and better speed
